Nintendo confirmed that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s next add-on character will debut today. As previously revealed, the DLC is a character from Arms. The mysterious new character is part of Smash Ultimate’s second Fighters Pass, and will be shown off in a mini-Direct that kicks off 7am PDT, 10am EDT, 3pm BST, 4pm CEST. The show is going to be roughly 35-minutes-long, presented as always by the legendary Masahiro Sakurai; the episode was even filmed entirely from his home....

Constantin Liétard, a 3D Programmer working over at Gameloft Montreal, has managed to create the next big thing when it comes to unconventional Pokemon Red runs. Liétard posted an announcement to Twitter via his account, Screenshakes, telling people that they can play through Game Freak’s first generation game by replying to his pinned tweet with comments such as “A” and “Start”. The inputs will be read, and Twitter users will be able to control the game – with the screen being shown in his Twitter avatar....

News of Altman’s passing was announced by Bethesda in a statement. Sometime last week, a survey from Activision Blizzard on YouGov went out asking players their various thoughts on topics related to gaming (thanks, GameRant). The survey was shared by Twitter user Okage Tadaka, and for the most part it has pretty standard categories. While the specific questions weren’t shared in the post, we can see categories like ultra or photorealistic graphics, cloud streaming gaming, game subscription services like Xbox Game Pass, and cross-play options....

In short, Treyarch’s co-head has left the company, a pair of claims have been made against Sledgehammer games, and another accusation has been thrown at Blizzard. Adding to this, the WSJ also reports instances of bad behavior on Bobby Kotick’s part, as well as claims of him seemingly being unconcerned over sexual misconduct allegations made against company superiors. According to the report, Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick was apparently aware of the various sexual harassment allegations against the company, and he failed to act accordingly....

Among Us developer Innersloth has revealed that the Airship map, first unveiled at last year’s Game Awards, will arrive on March 31. The Airship is Among Us’ fourth and biggest map, and comes with new tasks. A free update releasing on the same day will also allow players to pick the room to start in, bring a “basic” account system to the game, and add ladders. In a developer post, Innersloth explained why the update took so long....

Developer Funselektor announced today during the Twitch Xbox showcase that the racing game Art of Rally will release on Xbox Series X/S Xbox One, and Game Pass for console and PC this summer. It is also coming to mobile. A new trailer has also been published alongside the Xbox event, unveiling never-seen-before footage of the upcoming Kenya Update. This update will be available for free on all platforms, including the already released PC version, simultaneously with the Xbox and Gamepass launch....
