Atlus has announced a release date for Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne HD Remaster. It is coming to PS4, Switch, and Steam on May 25. It was released in Japan back in October for the aforementioned consoles. The infamously punishing RPG was originally released on PS2 back in 2003. Here’s the synopsis in case you are unfamiliar with the game: What begins as a normal day in Tokyo turns out to be everything but, when the Conception – an ethereal apocalypse – is invoked. The remains of the world are swallowed by chaos, as a demonic revolution descends into a broken city. Caught between a battle of Gods and demons, the choices you make can bring life, rebirth, or death, and determine who triumphs. This version of the game includes remastered 3D models and backgrounds, additional difficulty settings, suspend save, and the ability to choose between Japanese and English voiceovers. The game is currently available for pre-order and will run you $49.99/£44.99 for the standard version. There is also a Digital Deluxe Edition available which will run you $69.99 or the regional equivalent. Buying this version will allow you to start playing the game on May 21. The Digital Deluxe Edition also includes four music packs, additional characters, and the Mercy and Expectation Map Pack as well as Merciful Difficulty.
