Let’s start with our favourite recommendation: the SanDisk 200GB microSD card. This little fella regularly holds the top spot in our pick of the best Nintendo Switch SD cards over at Jelly Deals. It exists in that perfect middle-ground of quality, cost and capacity. With the Switch having just 32GB of internal storage, you can see how much extra breathing room this will give you for games, updates and more. And, for a little over £20, it’s an absolute steal.

For those of you out there who want even more room, you can go for the SanDisk 400GB microSD card instead. This will quite simply deal with all your Switch storage problems far into the foreseeable future. To give you some context, this is enough space to install The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild nearly thirty times. Yeah, that’s good enough. Previously, this card has been as much as £75 too, so that’s how good of a deal you’re getting at the current price.

Of course, if you click through to either of these cards you can also see the various other sizes and costs at a glance to make your decision easier. All I’ll say, though, is I wouldn’t get anything less than 128GB or more than 400GB. On the bottom end, the upgrade isn’t really worth it unless your Switch habits are fairly minimal. On the higher end, anything above that is just excessive. Although, I’m not your supervisor so you go ahead and do whatever you want. What I definitely suggest you do is head over to Jelly Deals for even more Switch accessory recommendations. We’ve got our picks of the best Nintendo Switch stylus, our favourite power bank for Nintendo Switch and top Switch controllers.
